Some pupils were invited in to school at the beginning of Half Term for a day of activities and a trip to Waterstones to purchase books to read during mentor time. They began the day with a visit to the book shop to browse and select books from a range of genres, assisted by staff. Pupils made considered choices with Manga and David Walliams being very popular amongst KS3. Pupils in KS4 were confident browsing outside of the YA section of the shop and one pupil decided to purchase a beautiful clothbound edition of The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Upon returning to school, pupils had a quick lunch break before heading over to Rew Valley to engage in some seriously competitive sporting activities. The year 7 pupils proved themselves to be quick learners when it came to table tennis, improving their technique across the session. Special mention goes out to Harvey and Richard for their doubles game against Mr Green and Mr Douglas.

Years 8, 9 and 10 were much keener to play basketball and were somewhat surprised by the poise and technique shown by Mr Douglas. In fact, Mr Douglas & Riley proved to be an unstoppable team on the court, with basket after basket scored! Special mention must also go to Summer for her shooting under pressure, and Alex for his determined defense.
