On Tuesday 25th January 2022, the Drama department took 60 GCSE Drama Pupils from Year 9 and 10 to see the highly acclaimed National Theatre production of ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time’. The play explores the world of Christopher Boone, a 15-year-old autistic boy, who is on a journey of discovery. Both the pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed the performance and had a memorable evening.
Luca in Year 9 thought that the lighting and sound design felt ‘like experiencing sensory overload’. Whilst Erin in Year 10 shared that ‘it was absolutely amazing’.
The following day, back at school, the GCSE Drama pupils analysed the character of Christopher and are now beginning to work towards writing live theatre reviews.
