Recently Maisey raced in the HSAA Track and Field Championships in Portsmouth.

For the first heat, 800m, only the top two fastest runners would qualify to go through to the final.
Not only did Maisey come first in this heat, she then went on to win gold in her final race – just 3 hours later!

Maisey has ‘done the double’ and is now the 2022 U17 Hampshire County and Hampshire Schools County 800m Champion.

Her win secured her selection for the Hampshire Schools team for the South East England Schools Inter-Counties cross country, which took place on 18th June in Kingston-Upon-Thames.

In Kingston, racing the best 2,800m athletes from Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, Maisey had a fabulous race and was rewarded with a silver medal (just 1 second behind 1st place) and a new personal best time!
