Year 8 Activities Week

During activities week, Year 8 pupils travelled to the stunning Ardèche in France for once-in-a-lifetime trip! Without a doubt, the highlight of the French adventure was a two-day canoe descent of the Ardèche River. Guided by expert instructors, pupils and staff travelled 26km through the huge ravine, sleeping overnight on the banks of the river with nothing but stars above them. When they weren’t navigating rapids, they were playing games in and out of the water, jumping off 20ft high rocks, eating lunch on upturned canoes, and taking in the truly spectacular sights hidden around every bend. Of course, a firm favourite activity with most pupils was splashing the teachers with water as they sped past them!
